ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, is set to demonstrate its expanding aerospace and defence support capabilities at the upcoming Africa Aerospace & Defence (AAD) Expo 2026. The event will take place at Air Force Base Waterkloof in Pretoria from September 16 to 20.
Operating from Chalet 14, the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider aims to connect with regional defence stakeholders and highlight its deep-rooted relationship with the South African Air Force (SAAF).
“As AAD celebrates 25 years of bringing together the aerospace and defence industries in the region, we are proud to support this important event and demonstrate our ongoing commitment to the industry including the South African Air Force,” said Vince Goncalves, Regional Vice President Africa at ExecuJet MRO Services.
Deepening SAAF sustainment operations
For defence observers, ExecuJet’s footprint in military aviation sustainment remains a focal point. The company’s relationship with the SAAF dates back to 1991 when the military branch served as ExecuJet’s founding customer. Today, defence operators account for a significant and growing portion of the company’s overall business portfolio.
The SAAF recently extended ExecuJet’s contract to provide airframe heavy maintenance and component support for its critical VIP transport fleet, which consists of two Falcon 50s and one Falcon 900 aircraft. ExecuJet recently completed a major C-check on one of the SAAF Falcon 50s, a process that included extensive interior refurbishment and comprehensive landing gear overhaul.
ExecuJet’s propulsion capabilities also provide vital support for SAAF transport logistics. The MRO provider conducts Honeywell TPE331 engine overhauls and repairs for the SAAF’s fleet of CASA C-212 military transports. Additionally, the company handles major periodic inspections (MPI) and repairs on the Honeywell TFE731 engines that power the military’s Falcon fleet.
“Our longstanding relationship reflects our success in delivering high-quality maintenance, engineering and technical services for critical aviation operations,” Goncalves noted.
Comprehensive MRO capabilities on sisplay
Operating out of its global headquarters at Lanseria International Airport near Johannesburg, ExecuJet offers sustainment solutions to both civil and military operators across the continent.
Throughout the AAD Expo, ExecuJet will showcase a wide spectrum of technical services. These include airframe maintenance, Aircraft On Ground (AOG) support, avionics installations, aircraft modifications, component maintenance and engine maintenance.
While the company has a strong defense footprint, it is also capturing growth in the broader African business aviation sector. Goncalves pointed to the recent additions of a Dassault Falcon 2000 and an Embraer Phenom 300 to the South African aircraft registry as evidence of regional expansion.
“The need for efficient air connectivity across Africa is driving the growth. Business aviation remains a vital enabler of economic development and connectivity across the continent, where vast distances and limited airline networks often make efficient air transport essential,” Goncalves added.
Industry professionals, military personnel and defense contractors attending AAD 2026 are invited to Chalet 14 to discuss fleet support, operational requirements and technical solutions with the ExecuJet engineering team.
